Play Group: "B Day"

We ate butterfly snacks
Practiced tracing our names, colored our letter B's
Decorated our Butterflies with two "B" things: Beads and Buttons
Hard at work
The finished product
Of course, we read a few Butterfly books. "The Hungry Caterpillar" is a classic.
"Butterflies in the Garden" had lots of butterfly pictures
And my favorite butterfly book is "Waiting for Wings" by Lois Ehlert. It follows the process of egg - caterpillar - cocoon - butterfly, and then talks about how they drink nectar from flowers.
The illustrations are BEAUTIFUL. (I love everything by Lois Ehlert! Her illustrations are some of my favorites!)
Then we talked about other Bugs and did a little matching game.
Another fun day with these cute girls! Now I'm done hosting play group until we get to "G" and "H".

cute cute. I love your butterfly snacks. :)

I miss doing this with my kids, but I thoroughly enjoy dropping them off at preschool. :)

I also love knowing what you will be working on cause it always shows up on interest. :)

You are so creative! Where do you get these ideas? Have you gotten them from online or do you just come up with them in your head? (probably in your head cuz you're so amazing!) Way cute!
