Tate: Three Months Old

Tate is three months old today, so here's the update on this little guy...
He is such a sweet, smiley guy. He is awake longer and longer each day and he loves to "coo" and kick around when he's awake. He loves his baths and hates tummy time. He likes to watch what we're doing as he lays on a blanket, sits propped up, or is carried in the baby bjorn. He loves when we talk to him and he always has a lot to say back to us :)
We just love this little guy so much! He brings so much happiness to our home and we are sure grateful he joined our family.
He nurses at 6:30 am, 10:00 am, 2:30 pm, 6:30 pm, and then a "dream feed" around 10:30 pm when Josh and I go to bed. He goes to bed around 8 pm, wakes up briefly around 10:30 pm for his last feeding, and then goes right back to bed. He sleeps til 6:30 am. Usually we don't hear him during the night, but occasionally we will hear him stirring around 5 am and we'll have to quickly give him his pacifier or fix his swaddle. (The nights he stirs are the nights when his stomach is upset).
Tate still spits up a lot and goes through lots of outfits (his and ours!). His poor belly is pretty sensitive. I have been avoiding most dairy and that has really helped, but still certain foods will set him off and he'll have a rough 48 hours of spitting up tons and having lots of weird diapers. (TMI?) We're gradually figuring out what will and won't upset his stomach. I'm sure it'll be something he'll grow out of, so we're not overly worried about it.

Snow Day

We didn't really get any real snow until January, so we were actually pretty excited to go out and play in it! Good times with our little fam!

January

Here is our January, in a nutshell...
Bryn went on her Daddy-Daughter date to Barnes and Noble for her annual birthday book date. For her birthday book she chose a book from the Rainbow Magic series.
 First lost tooth!!!
I didn't even know she had a loose tooth until lunch, then at dinner Bryn decided to just yank it out herself. Now she's got another loose tooth and she's pretty giddy about it.
Family Home Evening: We talked about Samuel the Lamanite from the Book of Mormon. The Disney characters acted it out and we enjoyed our rice-krispie wall for dessert!
 New skill: smiles!
Tate loves hanging out in his little baby bathtub on the floor of the kitchen while I make dinner, do dishes, etc. He used to just stare at me with big eyes, but now he'll smile and coo and kick his little legs as he watches me.
 Painting time
Bryn woke me up one morning and said "Good morning, Mom! I hope you don't mind that I used some of your cupcake wrappers..." And this is what I found, ha ha!
Can't get enough!
Typical afternoon- Mya and I silently giggling at Bryn's shenanigans.
Bryn is a really good help with Tate and Mya. She made this cute "distraction paper" to keep Tate's interest while I made dinner.
Cute second-cousins
I can never keep track of who Bryn is pretending to be or what in the world is going on with the little vignettes she sets up. But someday she is going to love all these pictures.
Aww.... love these two!
Mr. Smiley has my heart!
A quick picture as Josh and I headed out on my birthday date. We had a wonderful dinner at a nice restaurant in Millburn, NJ.
My cute niece Abby babysat all three kids! We were only away for a few hours since Tate nurses every 3-4 hours. Bryn was hoping it would be a longer date and she made it clear she did not get enough time with Abby (her idol).
Rise and Shine! These two buddies are so happy to see each other in the morning and it's adorable.
 Fresh from the bath
Mya is taking after her big sister!
Mya loved Tate in November, then in December she was a little bit jealous. Luckily, she's come around and lately she's been so sweet to Tate. Tate actually really loves Mya and totally recognizes her voice and smiles when she's around.
And that's it! On to February!
