So last night Josh and I were watching a spooky old black and white movie to finish off our Halloween night. The lights were all off except for the glow of the computer screen. Suddenly, we heard footsteps climbing the stairs to our apartment, and then heard an evil cackle. (Okay, the evil laughter part isn't true). I looked up from the screen and saw a woman's silhouette pass by our first window, and then the second, I heard our doorknob turn, and.... in walked a gypsy. (It was not confirmed whether the revealing gypsy outfit was a Halloween costume or whether we were face to face with an actual gypsy.) I was already in a jumpy, easy-to-be-spooked mood so I sprung up and yelled "Hey!" Miss Gypsy just stared at us like we were the ones out of place, then she said "Don't I live here!?" Then we just stared at one another for a minute, until Josh said "Uh... no. You don't live here." More staring. Gypsy: "Uh... I thought I lived here." Me: "Uh...no. We live here." (in my scared little voice). A little more staring, then Gypsy woman mumbled an apology, backed out of the doorway, and left. Spooky. Who was this mystery woman!? Our apartment complex is small and I know everyone in our complex, so I'm positive it wasn't one of our neighbors. Was she drunk? Was she a crook? Was it Uncle Mark in disguise? Or is this just regular gypsy behavior? I'll never know.
