Utah: Hawkins Reunion -- At the Farm

Here is the last bunch of pictures from the wonderful Hawkins Reunion. These pictures make me so happy. My girls are lucky lucky lucky to have such awesome cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. I married into the best family!
Josh's parents and their 27 grandchildren
Josh and his siblings
Josh and his twin Joe and their cute daughters who are just 3 days apart! Mya looks just like Josh did as a toddler and Harlow looks exactly like Joe.
I just loved seeing Bryn with her cousins!
 Feeding the horses
When the kids ran out of carrots and apples, they grabbed random leaves and grass to feed them.
Right after I took this picture Bryn actually got bit by this horse. The poor girl was pretty sad. I didn't really know if she actually got bit or if it was just a little nibble, but now her fingernail is discolored and about to fall off! Ouch!

 Target practice with the boys
 Cousins
We did some outdoor games, including a series of running races by age. It was so cute!...until kids lost and felt bad and started crying. Then it wasn't as cute I guess. But still I loved it!
Bryn started out in the back as the only girl in her age group, but I'm proud to say she pulled out ahead and won that first prize ring pop :)
 Introducing Mya to ring pops.
 Mya giving waves
Abby is the oldest girl cousin and Bryn kind of idolizes her!
 Cute Mya
 Halle and Bryn
Mya with her Grandpa Hawkins
What a fun weekend with some of my very favorite people! I am so grateful for the awesome family I married into and it's such a treat to spend time with them.

Utah: Hawkins Reunion -- Tibblefork Canyon

Day 3 of the Hawkins Reunion was spent at Tibblefork in AF Canyon- swimming, fishing, kayaking, riding the Rhino ATV, and playing with cousins. Such a pretty spot and a fun day!

Utah: Hawkins Reunion -- Rodeo, Seven Peaks, Baseball Game

One of the very best parts of our Utah trip was the Hawkins Reunion! Every two years all of Josh's family gathers from across the country and we party! Jason and Brandi planned reunion this year and they did a fabulous job. Here are the first few activities...
We went to the Fiesta Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork and Bryn was maybe just a little excited to be at the rodeo with all of her darling cousins.
 Bryn, Beckham, and Halle
The next day JOSH flew into town for the weekend!!! It was so great to spend a few days with him and we started it off at Seven Peaks with the whole Hawkins crew. Mya loved the kiddie pools and Bryn loved running around with her cousins and trying out the rides.
That night we enjoyed In-n-Out after a year-long hiatus, and you can tell by the picture that it was a heavenly experience.
Afterwards we went to the Owls baseball game at UVU. I loved watching Bryn and Sarah walk along holding hands. Cousins are the best.
Mya still needs a little convincing of this whole cousin thing, though. She and Harlow were giving each other a pretty good stare down.
 Halle and Mya
 Love love love
Leah is definitely the baby whisperer. Mya was pretty shy the whole reunion, but Leah was one of her favorites.
 Awww....these two!

Parade of Homes

My parents are renovating the top floor of their home in September, knocking out a couple walls, changing around the floor plan of the kitchen/dining area, and adding new paneling, built-ins, fireplace, and a whole new kitchen. One of the fun things I did with my Mom in Utah was spend hours going over her plans, visiting home showrooms, studying Pinterest inspiration photos, and visiting the annual "Parade of Homes" around the Salt Lake Valley. My mom already has a lot of her plans mapped out with the contractor, but we got lots of inspiration from the Parade of Homes that we saw. Many nights I would put my girls to bed and then my Mom and I would dart off to check out a few new homes. It's going to be a loooong time until I have a house of my own and a budget to do a renovation, so it's fun to live vicariously through my mom!
I'm not a good photographer, but these are a few of our favorite rooms....

All these pictures above are from a really pretty $4,000,000 home about a mile east of my parent's house, just on the other side of the gully. It was one of our favorites! (And totally in my price range!)

I loved all the great, big mudrooms with cubbies and storage.
I loved the peachy wall color in this nursery
Have you read "Okay, For Now" by Gary Schmidt? (Great book!) That Audubon bird made me think of the book :)

 Cute, little side table, right?
I loved the Michelle Armas painting in this living room. So pretty! I would love that hanging in my home.

My Mom and I had such a fun time! My shoebox of a house seems quite small and plain now that I'm back home, but someday it's going to be really fun to own a home and decorate it!
